For lubing hard to get at places I use a hypodermic syringe (3 in one oil), the type that diabetics use as it has a bigger bore tube, although the washer tube is a good idea.

You can buy 3in1 in a wd40 type spray can now. Found it in Aldi of all places. Did a nice job on the van door hinge.
