Paul Blade   10 #2 Posted July 14, 2010 First, how to manually uninstall Softonic?  1) Click Start Menu.  2) Go to Add/Remove Programs within Control Panel.  3) Highlight Softonic and then click Remove to begin the removal.    Note: Sometimes, there will be some related folders or registry items left behind after uninstalling Softonic with the above manual method. So it is necessary for you to take the below action to ensure a complete uninstallation:  1. Check whether there is a folder or associated folder named C:\Program Files\ Softonic. If so, drectly delete it from your computer.  2. Go to Start, run, type "Regedit" in the search box, and then press "Enter" to access Registry Editor. Here, please check whether where there are the two items. If there are, directly remove them from your computer:  HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/ Softonic or  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/ Softonic   Use ccleaner software to scan , clean & remove old entries. from your registry. http://download.cnet.com/CCleaner/3000-2… Reboot your computer.  Alternatively, download Revo uninstaller& uninstall the toolbar. & remove identified toolbar files. http://download.cnet.com/Revo-Uninstalle…
 Share this content via...
TTman   10 #3 Posted July 14, 2010 Here's an idea, if you are with BT. Get them to do it via their digital vault system. go into digital vault and take it back to a time when this wasn't on their viola problem solved.  or you could use restore to take it back yourself, if you have done backups. First way works and someone else does it.....for you>>>>>  TTman:loopy:
 Share this content via...
