I may sound like a complete wally here but i've tried just about everything to get an avatar and it just ain't working! can someone help.
The pic i want is saved in my documents in word but it's saved under ART format and i cant change it to JPeg to get it installed as an avatar. Can some computer whizz please help me. :confused:

Go to Your Options and then into Edit Options
Follow the advice for changing the avatar. Make sure that you don't exceed 50x50 pixels adn that it is in .gif format.

SO how do you get the custom avatar???
Oh It's ok I get it now
Make a graphic that you want to have as an avatar, resize it to the allowed dimensions (nowt bigger than 50 by 50) and save it as a .gif file, then upload it to somewhere on the web, and in the bit where you get to select custom avatars in your profile here, type in a link to wherever your avatar is uploaded, such as www.xyz.co.uk/images/avatar.gif then click OK at the bottom of the screen.
