Veg in pots advice please

I want to grow some fruit and veg in pots this year , which types do well and when should I plant them?

I was thinking tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and some sort of soft fruit.

Why not try a courgette in a large pot.

 

The garden centre at coal aston had some this week if you don't want to grow your own.

 

We had loads off just one plant last year.

Lettuces can be sown from seed now, and what about lovely little turnips (delicious steamed) and growing in pots seems to reduce flea beetle problems.

 

Ask around people always have the odd spare cougette/squash plant too, it will give you a head start as it's getting quite late to grow a lot of things from seeds. You can also try french beans in pots...
