Pretzel   10 #817 Posted June 28, 2010 The problem is getting all the shops to agree to open late one day a week. The mix of large corporates in Hillsborough with 'no flexibility in opening hours' doesn't help. If they stayed open the small indies may have given it a go.  Can appreciate that (Boots and the banks all shut way too early!) - but Wilkos and Home Bargains are open until around 6, whilst the vast majority of independants close much earlier. For commuters getting back to Hillsborough between 5 and 6 (including myself), to have other shops opening until 6 would be very handy.
