dragon32 Posted November 22, 2007 Share Posted November 22, 2007 why do the empty shops in Hillsborough get a quick temporary tenant and open up selling even cheaper cards just for the December month and then they are gone Its not on when all the shops struggle all year paying 52 weeks of rent and council tax keep out temp Cheap card/ gift shops. If hillsborough is to attract any decent shops people need to stop wanting everything for nothing and spend their money in places other than cheapo discount stores like wilkinsons, card factory, jonathon james, home bargains etc etc. These are all low quality shops selling low quality stuff but they are present in Hillsborough because that is what the majority of Hillsborough folk buy and so only the chainstore cheap discount places will survive. The large shop unit next to the cafe in Hillsborough Shopping Centre has been empty for years now, that speaks volumes for Hillsborough - a prime spot yet it stands empty.
