Choosing a Secondary School for your little darlings

Do you all realise what a bunch of up your own arse snobs you sound?

 

Well I suppose I'm an example of one of these 'types' - my area's nearest school turned out (well, the education wasn't at fault - it was the 'type' of "I can't be bothered" student), poor students - so I went to the other side of the borough to get into a school that produced far better results, and a nicer quality of teaching.

 

I had two buses to get there - but I knew I'd be getting a superior education - and if that makes me (as a previous poster described), a 'snob' - so be it.

 

A friend of mine who lives in Newark, goes to a school in Grantham, as the local schools are so dire.
