Does your daughter get some kind of invoice/breakdown of how her money is spent and what on? 800 by 20 (ish) days is 40 quid a day so less than a fiver an hour assuming parents on an 8 hour day and allowing time to get to work etc. Less than minimum wage and usually including a hot lunch at 2.50 a day. Like you say though two would get seriously costly! It's certainly affected our decision on having another. The average around here goes from 25 to 40 quid a day.
