Fitzwilliam canal rotherham

has anyone fished Fitzwilliam canal in Rotherham, its the one that's near Parkgate Retail park. if so do you know if its permit/day ticket or free.

It's all free. Nice little canal actually.

 

I've had a few pike out and saw one very large one glide straight past my feet! Plenty of silvers showing in summer but no sign of them when I went a month or so ago.

 

There's a bit of info on Yorkshire Fishing which suggests it can be difficult at times. I've parked on Stonerow Way when I've been and it's easy enough to access from there.
