lara joyce   10 #1 Posted August 8, 2013 Our pond seems to be gradually loosing water, i tried refillint it when it was really hot as i thought it was that but even now its cooler its still loosing it. can anyone recomment someone who could come look at it and advise us on how to manage it please its becoming a real thorn in my side. Chez2 Â Â 10 #2 Posted August 9, 2013 Check the liner for deterioration. It pays to buy the best quality and keep it below the water line as UV sunlight breaks it down. Â Check for leaks on pump or filter if you have them. Â Check you aren't filling it too full and causing it to syphon out. Our pond is normally half an inch from being full but if it gets too full with rainwater the water reaches the cement under the coping stones and it syphons out a fair few inches from the top once it has started.
