When I worked there, we were told not to accept any gift vouchers, so if you asked if they accepted the 'Vanilla gift card' they probably just said no without even knowing what it is. In that case the card would decline unless you informed the cashier and they took the cash to make up the difference first. If they just said no they don't accept it, they were wrong.
