Sunday 10th June - Staveley

 

A pleasant 7 mile circular walk starting from Staveley and including the new Chesterfield Canal Marina, Poolsbrook Country Park, West Wood with its unusual carvings, Ringwood Park, and with permission maybe a look around Ringwood Hall Hotel gardens. Mostly good tracks and paths with no hills.

Meet at Morrisons at Staveley, I Barnfield Close, S43 3UL at 10.00 for 10.15 start. Parking on Mill Gardens, just past Morrisons entrance alongside canal, or on any street around Staveley if full. No public transport from Sheffield for this walk.

What a nice change to do a walk where there was no stiles or hills for once. Now if there'd have been no mud as well.................
