wwp8   10 #2 Posted December 27, 2005 unless you're gonna build a website or sell to friends and families , i'll say nah.   i have registered to a few DS. (only the free ones , ignoring the ones that charge at the mo)  and haven't used a single one,  reason was i was going to sell on ebay,  but the so called pricesare not THAT cheap.  they ARE cheaper than retail shops, but not in ebay, and i'm not going to knock at peoples house's or build my own site.   (ie ebay are cheaper by a min of £10) DVD drop shippers sell old titles ie pretty woman top gun etc.
 Share this content via...
jchik   10 #3 Posted December 27, 2005 thanks wwp8, Im looking at setting up a website as opposed to ebay, coz the competition on ebay like you say is indeed great
 Share this content via...
wwp8   10 #4 Posted December 29, 2005 not trying to put you off though,  a few years ago i had a website selling vcds, imported titles, i had to put in frequent adverts, to get hits and trade,  business was ok, but not make a living,  i now have hundreds oof old titles lying around   remember a few points,  1, you have to advertise your siteso people know about it, (ie here is good) 2, you need a merchant account (paypal ok, but costs too much) 3, hosting, domain etc.  i DID have an idea before for myself, but the commitment and costs were too costly, it was to make a small catalogue, (hard copy) and dish it with the free local papers    ps GOOD LUCK
 Share this content via...
