Sheffield Wanderers Walking Group - Parkwood Springs, Thurs 12th April

Recommended Posts

Thursday 12th April – Parkwood Springs.

If you’ve never been to Parkwood Springs before here’s your chance to check out the views of Sheffield City Centre from up there, and to have a look at the country park at the same time too. This is a 6 mile walk which has one huge hill at the start of the walk, and can also get very muddy at times. The walk also takes us through the little known Wardsend Cemetery, and on part of the Upper Don Valley trail. Stout boots and appropriate clothing as usual on this one.

Details

Meet outside the Gardeners Arms, 105 Neepsend Lane, S3 8AT at 10.45 for 11.00 start. On street parking available close by, First bus no 53 stops outside the pub.

Newcomers welcome, but please e-mail [email protected] in advance if you are coming on the walk please.

What a pleasant little walk. Wardsend Cemetary is worth seeing on it's own, in fact, I'm going to go back and have another look on my own.
