Pippa_C Â Â 10 #1 Posted October 20, 2011 I am doing a charity pub quiz in January and looking to get a few raffle prizes from local businesses. Â As part of this I want to be able to state "There will be a news article" in the Sheffield Star and therefore free publicity to the local business. Â I have looked on the Sheffield Star website for information on getting an article in the paper but cannot see anything. Â Can any of you forumers shed any light on this? LeMaquis   10 #2 Posted October 20, 2011 Why not contact the Star and ask?
 Share this content via...
Pippa_C Â Â 10 #3 Posted October 20, 2011 I figured they would get lots of queries and not necessarily respond - where as people on here talk about the star a lot an thought maybe able to help. Â I've made a note of the news email address and telephone number, but any tips from people who've done this sort of thing before would be much appreciated. karenk   10 #4 Posted October 20, 2011 I would suggest that you email the "news" team at the star detailing your event and intentions and ask if they would run a piece on it.... as you say they may get too many requests to help you and as you are wanting to promise "donatees" free advertising its probably wise to get clarification first. If they arent able to help, local community papers are always looking to fill space and though readership may not be as vast exposure is still very likely x
 Share this content via...
