jennoula   10 #1 Posted June 5, 2011 (edited) The Apex Player's next play is 'Look No Hans!' a side-splitting romp by John Chapman and Michael Pertwee. It is packed full of comic misunderstandings, over-reactions, and twists and turns.  Peter Fisher runs the Berlin office of a British car company, and doubles as a secret agent. When his wife's plane home to England is delayed, and he is visited in quick succession by his mistress, a singing telegram girl, and a senior agent who is waiting for Hans, a top spy from the East, chaos ensues and Peter's plans for a quiet birthday soon go out the window (along with several of his guests).  'Look, No Hans' will be performed on 28th, 29th and 30th July, 7.30, at the Sheffield University Drama Studio on Glossop Road. You can get tickets (£7/£6.50) on the night or book over the phone on 0114 249 6126, or email [email protected] to book.  A hilarious evening is guaranteed!  The Apex Players are a small friendly amateur dramatic group who have been performing in Sheffield since 1973. They meet every Monday evening at the Cross Scythes on Derbyshire Lane at 7.45, where they rehearse for their upcoming performance. The group are always on the lookout for new members. Whether you want to act, work backstage, or try your hand at directing, pop along to the Cross Scythes and meet the group.
