Lavender needed

Hello, we are making lavender hearts to raise money for our organisation that works with people with learning disabilties. We run music workshops and then nightclubs for people with learning disabilities. More info can be found here http://www.reach4thestars.org.uk or http://www.underthestars.org.uk.

 

We are going to get people with learning disabilties to make the hearts and then we'll sell them to help us to raise some money.

 

I have found that you can dry lavender in the oven so fresh or dry would be great.

Hi what a great idea, to make crafts from lavender you do need to harvest the flower heads that are in bud before they burst into flower and they won't be ready until at least summer time. If you want some please let me know and I can save you some as my garden has an abundance of lavender:)

I did wonder

 

I often use prunings to push into hanging baskets as it deters aphids

Those prunings seem to take root rather easily with no more effort than shoving them in compost
