Justin Smith Posted February 2, 2011 Share Posted February 2, 2011 How can the Government justify the same tax (Air Passenger Duty) on Premium Economy as for Business/First Class ? I read that some airlines (e.g. Thomas Cook and Thomson) are thinking of scrapping Premium Economy because the tax makes it uneconomic. Let`s face it, all you really get with Premium Economy is a bit more room, and it`s not that much more either. It`s not so much flat bed as deck chair, and that`s if you`re lucky.
