L00b   441 #1 Posted January 12, 2010 I don't know if this is the right sub-forum for it, so Mods please feel free to relocate if need be.  We have several antique furniture pieces, in wild cherry wood, which have travelled with us through our successive moves in the UK and Ireland, and are unfortunately showing a little bit of wear and tear.  Now that we have finally bought a place to settle down 'for good', and have a room to do that furniture justice, I'm after some names, addresses, contacts, etc. of reputable local specialists to do some repairs.  The work is re-fixing some elements of cornices, turning and re-fixing some missing elements of cornices, repair or 'pressing back together' of cracks (I presume caused by central heating, despite all due care ), and a new pane of glass (vintage, 'wavy/irregular') + re-fitting on a dresser.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is heirloom stuff, btw, so only the best will do, no chancers or amateurs.
 Share this content via...
