Rain water runing in car

hi, any one know or had water geting into a mk 1 vectre,from the hatch back area.its running down the inside panel on the n/s. its not the door ruber/ side window/ ruber grumet were the wiper cable goes. got carpet/ inside trim out, but stil cant trace the leek. any help will be gratfull .

Have you got a sunroof on the car as it may be a leak from the sunroof that is letting in the water and its running into the hatch area.

Try removing the n/s interior trim in the boot or at least the boot carpet and spare wheel so you can see any water run into the hole where the spare sits.

 

Climb in the back of the car and get someone to run water from a hosepipe at a fair rate over the hatchback area to start with, and you should see where the water's coming in.

 

Move to other possible area's after that if the source isn't apparent.

yes its got a sun roof also all the interior n/s is out, the waters runing down the inside channel were the sun roof drain pipe goes , can see the pipe conected to sun roof that dosent feel wet ?

common on vectras you nedd to take off the wiper arms and plastic scuttle and clean out the drain holes they always fill up and then drain in to car
