Any serious suggestions for New Years Eve in city centre..

Recommended Posts

Your friend is coming over from possibly the best city on earth to celebrate New Year to Sheffield?!

Hey, don't knock the place! - my friend went to uni here and is actually really looking forward to coming back here for a few days. I spent last new years eve with her in New York and had great time (just stayed local, she lives in a really nice neighbourhood in Brooklyn, had great italian food and lots of drinks in the Irish pub underneath her flat) so i am now returning the favour. Thanks Starquake for the recommendation about Fagans, forget about there and can imagine it will be a good night. I agree with other posts about staying local on NYE and do usually do that or go round to a friends but am living in the city centre at moment so city centre IS my local!

Keep the suggestions coming!

my advice is.. as ive done it the last couple of years..

as NYE is very expensive night out..

Book a travelLodge in Barsley and go there..

it normally around £20 taxi from sheff..

but obviously they are double time around the xmas season..

so now i book a travellodge, drive down bout 5-6pm...

get ready with ease, no rushing..

pubs all close together...

no expensive taxi's...

and come back the next day, when up and ready!!

and the cost was last year.... £42per room.. ON NEW YEAR!!

sleeps 3!!!
