ashanta67
Hi I've just received my upgrade disks for Windows 7 but, as I'm quite happy with Vista, I wonder if it's worth doing. The instruction leaflet is quite basic and so is my computer knowledge! 1. It says to save software licenses - what does that mean? 2. I have to uninstall LAN Express Wireless etc. and Intel PROSet Wireless Software manually. Are they reinstalled automatically on W7 or will I have a nightmare looking for drivers etc. Has anyone done this upgrade and how did it go?? That's all. Cheers.... telman
I have done a upgrade about 2 weeks ago. Nothing to worry about. Do a system restore before you start . Put the disc in and go and have a cup of tea. The machine does every thing for you. I runs a scan before it starts and lets you know if any program will block the upgrade. I had to disable 2 programs then re-install after win 7 had finished. You might have to tweak a few bits after but nothing major. Works OK. You wont have to look for drivers, the installation disc will do it if needed. Just follow the instructions. Main thing is to look at the scan results and do as it says. ashanta67
Hi Telman Thanks for your reply - I feel less daunted by it now. I don't think I'll be wandering off to make a cuppa 'tho; I'll be watching it like a hawk! Cheers
