emmwalker
Hi, Im hoping to work in the not for profit area (charities, human rights etc) when ive finished uni and was wondering if anyone has any advice on how to go about this? i have started 'investigating' but all/any help would be welcome! for example, ideas for work experience, how to use a science background to an advantage in this area etc. cheers em
KenH
Get some experience elsewhere first so you are of some use to them. Without wanting to apear too harsh, new graduates need some experience before they are much use to most employers and the not for profit area won't be any different. If you get a couple of years experience in something like industry, teaching, commerce etc then you will be worth ten times as much to the non-profit sector.
