Euroes 2 GBP HELP ME PLEASE

My friend has a m8 in ireland and there sending them some cash in euroes wat they won on lotto its a 1,000 euroes jw how can you cash it into gbp in sheffield can you just swap the money in the bank

Yes just go to the bank. at the moment it's 1.1 euros (ish) = £1. So you will end up with about £1,100

If you go to a post office then they may not have enough money, best bet is to go to a bank. They will only ask questions if they think that there is something a miss!

Hmmmm it doesn't matter if they do ask questions - not that they will? You could have brought it back from a family holiday....couldn't you? :suspect:

I'm guessing this is down to responding so quickly that you didn't spot your own mistake. To convert from euros to pounds, you must of course divide by 1.1, not multiply; so he'll end up with about £890.
