Little_Extra   10 #1 Posted June 1, 2009 Hey everyone!  I'm new to the Sheffield area and have recently finished a degree in film making where I specialised in writing and directing. I have a few short scripts ready for production, as well as some crew and willing actors, and I'm hoping to meet with local filmmakers to get some films made and to help develop a bit of a film making community in Sheffield. This probably won't be paid work for quite a while, but if any money is made from the films then I'm happy to share it out, but I'm more looking for passionate, skilled individuals who are having the same troubles I am breaking into the film industry who love what they do!  Thanks! Look for flyers etc in The Showroom and arty cafes in the city.  Tried to develop the 'community' for a few years but it doesn't really work. I think it will always be a city of headless chickens that occasionally stumble into each other and make stuff...
 Share this content via...
Little_Extra   10 #3 Posted June 8, 2009 Thanks ed, that looks like a fairly awesome site!  It's a shame about the community. It's so much easier to make films with a big group of people than to go it on your own, but I guess that's the problem with a creative industry! Never mind!
