soft ayperth   11 #25 Posted October 23, 2014 (edited) I am resurrecting this old thread to let people know about the publication of my new book. There is another thread about novels set in Sheffield, but my book is a memoir. It is set in the late '40s to '60s. It is multi-themed, one theme being mental illness. This is why I am donating a portion of the royalties to the Mental Health Foundation UK. The book contains plenty of humour and nostalgic information about the city itself and life back then in a working class home. Further information about my book can be gleaned from:  http://www.startingtoframe.com http://www.facebook.com/startingtoframe  E and text versions are available from http://www.amazon.co.uk, specific url: http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=starting+to+frame OR via my web site (not the facebook one).  A professional reviewer's opinion on Goodreads:  "Reviewer: Pam Thomas Rating: 5 out of 5 Text: This is one of those book I can relate to, through the eyes of a distorted family, how memories come back as recurring dreams, going back to your childhood home, where a part of the past has been set aside, where you learn to embrace your past and understand about your parents choices and social structures. Its about understanding mental illness and how it affects everyone. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - A MUST READ."
