whitelion   10 #1 Posted December 18, 2017 Tuesday 19th December: The Lowdown Acoustic Session The renowned acoustic session hosted by Rob Lowdon, of Treebeard, Jabberwocky and a performer in his own right, this gentle evening of acoustic music is open to all to listen, watch or join in. This week - a Christmas special!  8.30pm, free entry.  Wednesday 20th December: Quiz Night The highly irreverent Quiz is every Wednesday at The White. Hosted by the inimitable Mr Bling, you and your team must overcome 3 rounds of general knowledge, an audio round and a picture round in order to claim the prize.  Throw into the mix some random challenges, spot prizes, lashings of real ale and a completely free buffet with veggie, vegan and gluten-free options and you're onto a winner.  9pm, 50p entry Thursday 21st December: Jam Night Hosted by Sheffield legend Chris Firminger and backed by his regular house band The TwoJays, this evening provides a platform for musicians from all over Sheffield and further afield.  Renowned for the musicians it attracts, the Thursday Jam sees regular attendance and performance from the likes of Julian Jones, The Carnival, Open Jaw Fayre, The Crashers, Grave Danger, Fahrenheit, Vamp and many more.  Full backline and P.A. provided, come watch or join in.  8.30pm, free entry  Friday 22nd December: Top Gun Quite simply one of the best rock bands out there right now, TopGun enjoy a rightly deserved reputation as masters of their trade.  A 5 piece band, covering the likes of Pink Floyd, UFO, Deep Purple, Faith No More, Muse, ELO, Bon Jovi, Queen etc but they have to be seen to be believed.  Please be aware that these guys are very popular. If you require seating then it is advised to arrive earlier than normal as we cannot reserve any areas on this night.  9.30pm, free entry  Saturday 23rd December: Vyndictive With a long and varied musical career, Vyndictive play a variety of well known songs - vintage rock and blues, pop and soul.
