Hi. British gas are very expensive. Most local plumbers will look after you at a lower cost for a breakdown than the yearly cost of bg and most years you wont need any repairs. If your boiler gets old they tell you you need a new one and offer 600 pounds off, usual quote is then 4600. We and many others can offer you a new boiler with a five year guarantee for 1800. Thats a new boiler every five years for the same cost as bg, not of course that you will need one. Look on the gas safe website they have the details of all the local gas men. It's hard to be a regitered plumber and a cowboy as we are so highly policed. Best regards, Dave
