I bought one of these for my Mrs when she decided to start learning.. I had already been playing for a couple of years myself and I was shocked at the high quality/playability of the F310 compared to much more expensive guitars. Definitely go with that one!

This is maybe a little bit off topic.. but I am wondering if anyone knows of a good venue around the Sheffield area (or Yorkshire... Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire) that would be good for shooting a music video. I am open to ideas if there is anything unique that immediately comes to mind.. but something with a bit of an industrial setting might well be good! I appreciate this is slightly vague but would be interested to see any suggestions! Thanks in advance Dave.

I'm after a female vocalist with the possibility of forming an acoustic duo and ultmately playing regularly in pubs/clubs, and getting those all important paid gigs in. Some info on me: I'm Dave, 22, live just outside Sheffield (towards Chesterfield) and I'm already the singer in a function covers band but I have been craving a duet-act like this for years, although will be pursuing the duet alongside my other band commitments. My current band play everything from 60s-Present Day (Beatles, Jam, Pulp, Oasis, Paul Weller, Rolling Stones, Kings of Leon to name a few) and I would more than likely take some of that influence into this new venture. Why a female vocalist? Listen to these : THAT right there is what i'm talking about! I was talking to a friend who says he has a place nearby that he can take his car and rent a 4-post lift / ramp by the hour to work on his own car.. Just wondered if anyone was aware of a place like this in Sheffield or around the surrounding area? Great idea if you ask me aswell, its so much easier than struggling on Axle Stands! Dave.

We are an Indie/Rock covers band looking for a bassist to complete what will be a 5 piece band. Covers such as Arctic Monkeys, Milburn, The XX, Kings of Leon etc... We are pretty tight but looking to start gigging so we need a bassist to join us! Practices all based in Sheffield.. either Practice Sheffield or Yellow Arch rehearsal rooms. Not too bad, though i'd recommend a Yamaha Pacifica... very cheap, great reviews and excellent for beginners. Cheers, Dave.

Been considering this for a while too, and after doing a ton of research seems it is definately worthwhile renting first. There is a place in Sheffield (AB Saxophone Sales and Rental) that does rentals. And a few places online that can post you one out. Prices start around £15 a month.. bargain I might take a trip to AB Rentals later this week.. Dave.
