"Degraded means that a site is still handling calls, but is not operating at it's normal level. Depending on the nature of the problem, this may take between hours, days, weeks or months to fully resolve. When one site is degraded, this may then increase demand on other sites nearby as traffic which would have gone through the degraded site is re-routed.
In the S2 and S3 area, there are three transmitters which are currently degraded, which may be intermittently affecting both voice and data traffic in the area. Our engineers are working on these sites and estimate that one should be back to full capacity by 11 July 2011, however, they do not yet have an eta for when the other sites will be back in full service. I hope this helps."
