  1. I am in desperate need of some advise.

My grandfather lives in an upper storey bedroom flat. The tennant downstairs was dealing drugs, and after 8 months of pure hell for him, with people sat on his stairs smoking weed, and damaging his property, the trouble tennant has been evicted.

However the outside of my grandfathers property has been left damaged, and it looks down right disgusting, as well as alot of health and safty risks.

We have reported the problem to his local housing office several times, who on each occasion, say that they "are not aware" of the situation.

It has come to the point where i have had to interven and take photos. I will be sending a copy digitaly and a hard copy to several people..

I just need to know who is the "head of housing" so to speak. I know this may seem drastic, but he has been put through pure hell, having full bin bags thrown at him, property damaged, verbally abused, threatend on several occasions. It go so bad he could not leave the house on his own.

I am desperatly hopeing for some advise. I need to take this higher than his local housing office, especially seeing as the person who is "dealing" with this, has a memory like a sive!

Please please can somebody help me!!

PM or comment below if you have any advice

  2. It all depends on what kind of priority and the needs.

My mother was ill and we got priority quite quickly. We were offerd a house within 3 days of getting priority. Alot of people are picky and only want "certain areas". If your priority, you need to move quickly for certain reasons, when people say "I dont want to live in that area", well...its kind of 6 of one and half a dozen of the other..

House shareing is a great idea. Sure their may be some bad experiances.

I dont understand why people think living on "the dole" is so easy. Its a horrible thing to live on and horrible way to live. I was on it for 3 years because i was a fulltime carer for my mother. £84 a week. I cannot get a part time job because then i would have to pay rent, and to cover that would mean a full time job, which does not leave me enough time to care for my mother.

When you move house, always stick your name on the houseing register. Even if you dont move for 10 years, and you decide you want to move into a council flat, thats 10 years waiting time you have.

Their are alot of "first come first serve" properties on "sheffieldpropertyshop.com". Its a great website and you can see all new properties coming up, and first come first service listings..

  3. I had a very similar situation last week. I was in a car crash on July 17th and had to have 3 weeks off. I need 1 hour a week off for aftercare of my injuries. Last week a car nearly took me off the road as i was on my way to work. Scared the hell out of me and i still went to work. Went, broke down into a huge panic attack (something i couldnt control) and then i find out that afternoon when they sent me home, that i was sacked...i found out on FACEBOOK! By someone who wasn't in my team, and he just heard in passing. Noone else knew about the situation, so it wasnt untill i went back to work the next day, that i found out they were "letting me go" for my own health reasons and because i had too much time off!...sorry but i find that incredibly unfair.

No employer is going to want to take someone on who needs at least a little time a week off for the next 8 weeks. Work said they can re-employ me, but it will be around late october/november time, without pay.

What am i supposed to do?. I am on a tempary contract yet i dont know if i have a leg to stand on. I feel utterly humiliated and victimised...

Sorry if it seems like i stole the tread, just thought they would have been merged anyway...

If they sack you hon, you are better off without them. 4 1/2 years and this is how they treat you. Leave them before they let you go. Hope it all goes well sweets xxx

  4. They are feeding!!! It is a child! Before 1894 when bottles were invented, everyone breastfed. Its natural to do it and unnatural to hide it away.

And if people can't see a womans breast anything other than a "sexual object" then thats your own fault, not a womans.

Its natural, its normal, you dont like it dont look. Mothers have lifes aswell,if you choose to do it hidden away, thats fine, your own choice, but its unacceptable to critize women who are feeding their children.

Like i said, dont like it, dont look. Would you rather have a screaming baby whos hungry whilst a mother is trying to look for a "quiet place", who a happy healthy baby and mother minding their own bussiness.

  5. I work for DSGi (currys/pcworld/dixons). It's a great place to work, clean and friendly enviroment, but they cocked up with the anualised hours. You get more time off in the summer, which means less staff all in all, so Perm staff are being asked to work longer, not getting paid and only getting it back in lieu time. Where as Temp staff get paid over time.

If you miss one day of work, your gone. Its easy to be replaced. they just emplyed 400 new people..and they will most likley be gone by winter.

Its hard to get perm..and its a great job, easy simple systems..just fingers crossed you get a good T/L otherwise your buggerd...

Its a nice place for a TEMP job..but if your wanting Perm..well..Good Luck with that lol!!!

Yeah..Wouldn't recommed it for Perm staus unless you either know someone their or your just wanting a lil temp thing.

  6. True..but i would rather pay online rather than have to risk it through a rep. I understand that Reps need to hand out books for money..but most should at least have the manners to ask first. I live in ecclesfield and I have like..3/4 sometimes. I write in the books "Do not send again" and still they are pushed through my door. When they come back asking for the book..and i tell them i have thrown them away..the attitude they give me is not at all professional....I throw them away, to me its junkmail.

  7. Is anyone else getting annoying with Avon books being left on there doorstop and then having the reps come back to collect them? It's bloody rude to have it pushed through my door..never mind to have it asked back. Avon is online..If you use it, then fine. But i wish they would stop leaving them on my bloody doorstep.
