actually teachers pay is not affected it is the support staff running the school wiping the teachers backsides who are having their pay cut, whilst the heads sit in the office on a payrise

Can anyone tell me how Grade 5 personal assistants in cypd have faired in the pay and grading, as I have mixed messages saying some gained some lost, I am still to receive my letter and would like a bit of info.

appeals process: apparently the appeals process can go both ways, you may be upgraded and you could end up down graded according to cypd, so make sure you have enough ammunition to back your case, as you dont want to lose any more than you already have?

you need to go to the sheffield city council web page after the gov.uk bit type /paygrade and it will take to you to a log on page username - pay password - rev1ew down the left side is says job roles all the profiles are in there

my husband is in GMB and the only thing they have told their workforce is "Dont Panic" i think this was a MR Mannering catch phrase, so god help them at " Streetforce". As GMB reps went to meetings and were sworn to secrecy

Anyone not received a letter today like me, HR advisosrs state they dont know when my letter will come,the pay and grading team state they can't understand why i have not been placed in a profile family as it is straight forward, obviously the two teams are not communicating, hence the mess were in? Im sorry where you at the union meeting i attended? with the union rep? whats the point in unison setting up yet another data base? members should have all the info they need by now, you can get get access to a pc anywhere, dont talk rubbish, your obviously not asking the right people job profiles and families are on show for all to see, if you look properly,

GMB and Unison are looking at Pay and Grading from different levels , whilst Unison is telling members not to sign or return anything, GMB are telling their members to complete the letters with what job profile/family you think you are and clearly state that you do not agree with the information that they have stated, take a copy for your records, as the council are saying if they dont hear anything from you everything must be fine, It is your choice what you do. But this is counted as part of your consultation period.

at the moment protection stands at 6 months but unions want the payrise winners to be back dated if this is so say goodbye to parachute payments

heard today that some social services staff have got their letter, after being told they would have to wait 2 weeks, their pay is either the same or has gone up, as for streetforce my husbands paperwork apparently is wrong it is job coded and the code given for the job does not match the salary and grade printed on the website when i phone the helpline the staff just laughed and were non the wiser as as on the receiving end of these shamful letters

i am an admin worker myself and Mr Mothersole has signed the letter we received as for the unions, they are doing nothing they are attending meetings and telling the people who pay their subs nothing! It might be a national agreement, but as ever sheffield council are the last to complete and the first to get it all wrong

Well the brown envelope arrived today for the workers of streetforce, and yes it was worse than we expected. A hard working man is reduced to earning £14,000 per year, so watch out as this is the same as a clerical officer in admin. Thanks Mr Mothersole in your ivory tower, i bet pay and grading doesn't affect you. Thought pay and grading was meant to be fair, yet again the lowest paid get hit again
