Sounds good. Do you run on the streets around Hills or through the park? I presume you can park in the leisure centre car park?
-
Hi, what will you be doing on Thursday night? Is it a certain route or distance? Or is it speed or interval training? Thanks

Well, my plan of running the half marathon has gone a bit wrong as I didn't get round to entering and now it is closed. i know it's a long way off but if anyone has a place they don't want then let me know!

Just looked at the site, looks good. I've been looking for a group of people to ride with. My bike was stolen a few weeks ago so I might come along as soon as I've got a new one sorted!

Thanks for the info

I noticed that there is a taekwondo class in Crookes at the Wesley Hall on Friday nights but I can't find any information on the net. Anyone know who runs it? I saw a board outside but as I was driving I couldn't see the info. Cheers

Hi, was your mates bike stolen recently? Mine was stolen earlier this week from Crookes. Cheers -
I was walking through Bole Hill park earlier and there were a few people exercising at the far end and I just wondered if anyone knew anything about them. Is it an organised thing like military fitness? I didn't have time to stop and talk to them. Thanks

Millhouses Park cafe do a good eggs benedict, really nice bacon and rocket. Don't, whatever you do, go to Tom Scotts in Crookes. Cheap white bread with packet ham and awful luminous sauce from a packet is not eggs benedict!

Are these runs still happening or have they finished?

Thanks, I was hoping to have the master socket removed from the upstairs room completely and put downstairs as it's been put at knee height so it looks untidy. Sounds as though it will have to stay and an extension put downstairs

Hi does anyone know if bt have to move a phone line or whether an electrician would do this. I need a phone line moving from an upstairs room and routing down the outside of the house down the old coal grate through the cellar and into living room. Thanks

The vast majority of the money was used to re surface the car park

Hi I have recently moved into a terraced house which has a small hatch down into the cellar. Unfortunately, I can't fit down it to get into the cellar as it is too small so I need it opening up and a bigger hatch installing. The kitchen floor is tiled so it would require some removal of floor tiles and then the wood work for the hatch doing. Is this something that a builder would do or maybe a joiner? Has anyone had work like this done recently and could you recommend someone? What sort of cost am I looking at? Thanks

It appears that only a certain number of adverts for places to let are allowed on the site at any one time, so does anyone know of other free sites that can be used to advertise a property? I have a property that needs letting quickly. Thanks

Update - hammy (Rufus) has been reunited with his rightful owner. I'm a bit gutted, I'd got rather attached to him and just set him up in a new cage someone had given us! He had escaped from a flat, down two flights of stairs, across the main road, up our street, and round the back of our row of houses! He went missing on sun and we found him on tue so he was a lucky little thing! Thank you all for your help and advice

Woah I think that beats finding a hamster behind a bin! We still have hammy if anyone with a lost hamster in crookes is reading this!! Looks like we might have an addition to the family... Do cats get used to hamsters if they are in cages that they can't get into?!
-
Thank you everybody, we've knocked on loads of doors and people have mainly looked at us strangely!! We will make some posters and put them up tomorrow, our neighbour said hers once went 3 streets before someone found it! Kitty, we need to give the cage we've borrowed from Lotti back in a couple of days so if we still have him your cage would be great. I think we'll keep him for a week and if no-one has claimed him we'll consider keeping him or finding him a nice home.
-
Hi Charlie, Thank you, we might take you up on that tomorrow or thur if we haven't found his owner. I have borrowed a cage from lotti which is fab, and she's given us enough food for him for a bit. I have hastily shredded some paper to make into bedding and he seems very happy now. In fact I have never seen pouches so full - thanks again Lotti!

I've pm'd you!

Hello, I got home from work about half an hour ago and found a hamster outside my house on Bolehill Lane! If you have lost a hamster please let me know so we can reunite him. If you haven't lost a hamster but have a cage I could borrow and live in Crookes or nearby, please please let me know as I don't have anything to keep him in! Thanks

Hi, I am looking for a structural engineer who can give advice on whether a roof (and the supports) are under too much strain and whether they need extra supports adding. The attic space has had some alterations done over the years and I'm not sure what state the roof, joists etc. are in. I have done a search but there are only a few threads and they are quite old so could someone recommend a good Sheffield based structural engineer that they have used recently? Thanks
