Hi is anyone running race for life this year?! If you are, have you begun training yet? Any tips?

A message to all women who are involved in sports! I am a journalism student and as part of my final year we are making a magazine. We have decided to produce a magazine on women's sports because there is currently no magazine dedicated solely to women's sports and health and fitness and we feel there should be one!! So...if any of you out there play for any women's teams or clubs - can be just a hobby, semi-professionally or professionally we want to hear from you! Anything from whether your team has won an award/matches/is doing particularly well this season etc to real life stories - problems you've experienced whilst playing for the team. Do you find there is racism/sexism in the game? Injuries that have stopped you from playing sport for sometime etc. We are interested in ANYTHING. The magazine is produced purely for my degree and nothing will be published - just seen and marked by a lecturer. PM me if you think you can help. Thanks, look forward to hearing from you.

Hi I'm doing some research on obesity surgery at a couple of hospitals in the city including Thornbury hospital and another on Ecclesall road. Hi, my name is Kate and I am a final year journalism student at the University of Sheffield. I am at the moment carrying out research for my dissertation. With all the recent stories in the local press concerning weight and particularly obesity in the city I have decided to take a look at the issue. But I need your help! I am desperately looking for someone who has a problem with their weight and would be willing to be interviewed. You could be someone trying to lose weight at the moment, on a diet, taking part in exercise etc. Maybe you have had health warnings from the doctor about your weight? Or maybe you have been classified as clinically obese? You would not be identified in the interview if you choose not to be and the article would most definately not be published! It will just be used for the purpose of my dissertation. I will come to you if you are willing to be interviewed so there would be less of a hassle for you. Hi I am a 3rd year journalism student at the university of Sheffield and as part of my final year i have been given an area of the city to research and report about. My articles are not published but merely seen by my lecturer and marked. Hi there, Just wondering what those residents of Nether Edge think of the huge housing development scheme that is being carried out by Gleeson at the moment? Do you think that any negative effects will arise from the development? Property prices are also set to soar - is this a good or bad thing for you all?
