Hi
Â
Can anyone help
Â
Im staying near Endcliffe Avenue this weekend and at some point i may need a sports hall to train a group of wheelchair athletes.
Â
Is there anywhere close (pushing distance) that anyone knows about that we could possibly use?
Â
thanks in advance

making the assumption that its a hard boiled egg
Â
tap the egg on a hard surface until the shell is all cracked and then peel away.
Â
Its easier if the egg is cool, so i run mine under cold water first.
Â
If its a soft boiled egg - or eating it from the shell - i find the only option is to have burnt fingers
-
i'll let you have the last word, you seem to want that x
-
then we both agree on something x
-
so was i
-
with respect - it has bugger all else to with anyone else what i paid for the repair.
Â
the needs of the OP are different to what mine was.
Â
as mart said - i did provide a number for the op to get the information for themselves. they didnt however ask what anyone paid just if anyone knew of somewhere that can weld alluminium.
-
i have taken my sons alluminium wheelchair to be welded today at a place near the ski village. very reasonablely priced and he came recommended from another wheelchair user.

i cant remember and i have lost the ticket
-
i wasnt parked over 2 bays - i was parked in a normal space (didnt need the extra space that day for the wheelchair as there was plenty of parking avaliable so thought rather than take a disabled bay when someone might need the extra wheelchair room)
Â
i was just parked in the car park - not causing obstruction, blocking anything, double parked or any other reason i could see that caused the ticket.
-
i am wondering if any of you can help - here goes
Â
i parked the car in a free to park car park and had my sons blue badge on show anyway.
Â
I came back to a 'ticket' from 'total parking solutions ltd' on the car.I completely ignored it (seems like it is now my mistake) as i thought it was a scam.
Â
I have had a couple of letters advising me to pay etc and again i have ignored them. this morning however i received letter from the above debt collectors with a massively inflated fee and notice that if i dont pay them within the next 14 days i am going to be refered to a solicitors for potential legal action.
Â
Do i now panic (as i am doing) and pay the bill - or is it a scam?

I cannot believe some parents are seriously considering taking their children out of school for non-illness related purposes during their final years of school. What sort of example does this show them, that it's OK to have time off whenever it suits?Â
my son ended up in a wheelchair due to a 'routine' operation and spent a lot of the 18 months prior to our holiday ill, however, the school decided that a break would help him rather than hinder him. So far (and he hasnt sat all his exams yet) he has an A in english lit and a B in maths - and predicted grades of b's and a's in all his other subjects.
Â
He wasnt ill when i took him out of school for a holiday but we needed the break. sometimes it isnt all black and white
-
i would have thought that you need to ring motability and ask them.
-
i think it depends on why the child is going to miss their exam - i took my year 10 on holiday last year and consequently he missed 3 exams....... however the previous 18 months had been a complete nightmare health wise for him and we needed a holiday.
Â
The school allowed the time off and he sat 2 of the exams in november and one next week.
-
sorry guys - just found out that i am double booked next sunday
-
i must be having a blonde moment this morning - i clicked to go and have a look and at first i was horrified at the idea - and i could not believe that people were rating them as well.
Â
And then i read a couple of the reviews and have decided (now the coffee has kicked in) that I WANT ONE OF THOSE
-
thanks harvey19 - next time i am in sheff i plan on going into harrisons (i found it the other day by accident).
Â
I think i am going to need a 70-200 (whichever) as i would like the zoom on this lens - but not seen one in person or held one - and i have been told that they are heavy - i will have to do this before i make a decision (not to mention save up)
-
what sort of time are you thinking of?
-
where abouts? i am pretty good at finding places - if i have a vague idea of where i am going to. also what time?
-
great idea - have we got a date in mind yet?
-
I have that also with regards to my son - looking at him through the window he looks 'fine' and the amount of looks we get when we pull up into a disabled space is downright disgusting.
Â
It soon changes when i have to set up his wheelchair and he gets in.
Â
Ignore the people who dont know the half of your life they are not worth the discussion to put them right x
-
What d'ya think you'll get back off the hair dye people ?Â
not sure on that one - still i think the colour is starting to not look so bad - at least it doesnt match my rudolf nose
-
I wrote to dolmio to complain that they had changed the receipe for their sauce and the new one was completely disgusting and that i would not buy it again. They sent me a voucher for £5 to spend on their products.
Â
I think the sales have gone down on this particular brand as I have had sent to me a new receipe pouch of the stuff to see if i like that. I suggested that the new 'new' pouch is not really as good as the original and if they want to see the sales rise to go back to the old version.

there will be 8 of us round the table this year - aged 8 - 90
Â
cream of leek and potato soup with homebaked bread rolls
Â
Roasted turkey crown with streaky bacon and chestnut stuffing, roast pork loin with homemade bramley apple sauce, mashed spuds with butter, roasted potatoes, roasted sweet potatoes and of course roast parsnips, carrots and sprouts, and brocolli for the little one. Cranberry gravy and lashings of red wine.
Â
Desert will be christmas pudding with brandy butter for my grandpa, and custard or cream for the rest of us, and the children will have chocolate cake.
Â
Cheese and crackers with figs and plenty of fresh fruit.
Â
Coffee and mints, followed by home made mince pies and christmas cake.
Â
There will be champagne to celebrate the birth of Christ and the achievement of everyone making it to yet another christmas, we will also remember our absent family and friends.
Â
I expect the 'meal' to take 3-4 hours over the afternoon/evening and not everyone will be expected to sit at the table all the time, after all the little ones will be bored after soup - they will be allowed to get up and down from the table - after each course so as not to disturb my grandpa too much, and if anyone wants to skip a course they will be able to.
Â
I am so looking forward to it

i do zoom with my feet as much as i can - but i am not allowed on court when they are playing although some of the players would find it fun to try to catch me if i was
Whats it like in Malia, Crete?

crete in general is fabulous (my favorite place on earth) - take a trip to spinalonga - amazing
Â
malia is more of a younger persons holiday spot - all places have areas where the 18-30 crew hang out - malia is THE 18-30 spot in crete BUT not all places tolerate it. If you want more peace go to stalis (next town back towards the airport) quieter and more family orientated. Try the gyros - delightful.
Â
Wish i was going to crete - but booked corfu instead this year - have a fabulous time and let me know how you got along
