  1. A new keyboard that still has American settings honey! We all know that's the only thing that can be said about my post, because its all true.
  2. People are really not getting it are they. Fuel was always about them not the customer it was always"look at me im a drag queen,go go dancer, owner" did you never notice that wheneva a new song came out they had to have the stage to show how good they wernt or how untalented they were. But with it being a club they wernt getting the attention they deserved cause people could turn away and even stopped going so it shut. This new place is wot a bar/pub so more relaxed so they are gunna be more in your face than eva. I expect there will be massive pictures of carlton and petes wedding and prime places that only the staff/crew can dance.I may seem bitter but alot of people have very short memorys I on the other hand remember every last minute of that place.I was very positive about fuel/plug it was far better until that last night security gaurds begging the rubbish music and worst of all rustys promise that they would be back.NEGATIVE YES BUT SO VERY TRUE!
  3. But I do wish it all the best and im not being sarcastic.
  4. :(Lets face it everybody is gunna go for the 1st two weeks out off desperation. All the dirty scene queens and druggys are gunna use and abuse the place. Lets face it anybody sane knows to stop away from sheffields gay scene.Ive seen the invites on facebook and their all gunna be there classy. Its a real shame and I wish it was different:(
  5. Its just a shame they are so spread out. You would need to join a ramblers committee to get to them all.
  6. I take it everyone got the text?! They did threaten us that they were comin back! and just to kick a dog while its down, the website is up and running again. BRACE YOURSELVES PEOPLE!
  7. Coming to F.A.B 2night plzzzzzzzzz plzzzzzzzz play britneys new1 X
  8. I dont understand why everyone is slaggin F.A.B off. When i went on Saturday, ok it was quiet (due to climax the day before), i think that the music and the venue itself is something to be proud of. Why doesnt everyone get behing everyone at F.A.B and stop bitching on here. Keep up the good work and im sure it will flourish.
  9. Well im defo coming again this sat and will be bringing more people.Whats it like on a fri?
  10. Went to F.A.B last night for the first time. What an amazing venue.Love the pole and the fab signs at the top. It was a bit patchy at times but it was climax on friday so should have been expected.Really loved the music there was loads of pop just one thing plzzzzz plzzzzz play britney I think that pole area might get alot busyier.Still very impressive.
  11. WOW climax has had a major change took a while to adjust to the new layout but I think I like it.Woz really busy n nice to see people I havnt seen for a while even if the music in the main room was a bit random.(not my words)
  12. Well well well, seems an old 'friend' is trying to pull the wool over everyones eyes. I have just had a little look on the Sheffield Uni LGBT website and they have a forum. On there is a certain DJ declaring that there will be a new nighclub, FAB, and that they are a DJ'in there on a thursday night. DK Scott Kelly, he is not liked by many loyal people on the gay scene as he is arrogant, egotistical and damnright rude. He likes to cause trouble and is the root cause of many arguments on the Sheffield Forum. To prove that FABTHURSDAYS is DJ Scott Kelly, follow this link for his advert on the LGB forum http://lgbsheffield.3.forumer.com/index.php?showtopic=1181&st=0entry7185 Malecat x This is NOT an attck on the new club, i am 100% behind it!
  13. I saw this and had to check it out.I take it that the site is for people that have never been.Still it made me laugh for all the wrong reasons.
  14. Well another reverting night out for Sheffield’s gay scene last night. It was fuels leaving night, got off to a great start with me not getting out to 10.30 and almost going straight to fuel. As usual on entering fuel, getting a polite welcome with the security trying to force people to put a pound in for them. (If you read my last post you would no I would be giving the security nothing) As well as paying £6 to get in, getting some flattering comments from the security (from the young security guard who looks like the guy in prison break, I use to think he was alright but he seems to be in a dark place at the moment) "come on don’t be tight like your arse or loose or so I’ve heard". Classy, very classy. Other high points Rusty the drab queen making a heart felt speech about how they are coming back after xmas. The best part of the night was hearing Britney’s new song but even she couldn’t save the night because for some strange reason it was followed by come on eileen. Never mind hopefully new and better things are to come.
  15. Hey man ignore this guy (NIGHTINGALE) he has a nack for trying to get peoples backs up thats why alot of his posts get removed.Anyway my main reason for being on here at this time of night is to praise cellar 35. WOW man what a night a Tuesday night and it was really busy, a Tuesday night and it was better than fuel could ever dream. Well done to the promoter/organiser who was very welcoming and made it an all round good night.I look forward to next week and to the new club which should not be judged at least until it has opened.
  16. Just got what I hope is my final text message off FUEL, declaring that they shut this Saturday. I don't know whether I am happy or sad. Happy because the last year or so they have taken the mick; with the music, the atmosphere and certain partys trying to use it as a platform for their own celebrity. Sad because when they first came they gave loads of promises and for a while it worked and even in recent months there has been the odd good night. Anyway lets hope this new club shows us how a real club shoud be. (please please try n play lots of chart)
  17. I’m sorry for putting this post on here but not sure where it would be best place. I feel as though I should share my experience that was Saturday night’s gay scene. I started of in lions liar at about 10pm where things looked promising as it was really busy. The music is a lot better now they have the music box, there’s a lot more pop and a lot less "funky house”. I stayed there until about 12 and then thought it’s was time to move on to fuel where it should by that time be busy. On arriving (and being relieved of £5 pound of my hard earned cash) I embark inside. The place was hardly packed but most of the faces you would expect to be out where out. But the music was terrible it felt like there was a 90’s compilation CD on. I know they have to try and vary the music to suit everybody but judging by the dance floor it was pleasing nobody. There was the occasional odd song, but by the time you had ran from outside got in to the mood you would be hearing ‘don’t stop me now’ by Queen, hardly the dance floor experience. Also requesting a song is a NO NO these people haven’t heard of (Rihanna, Britney, or Madonna) and if they do play them you only ever get ‘overprotected’, ‘shut up and drive’, or ‘like a prayer’ these people have had other hits you know! Speaking of being outside, since the smoking ban every bar now has a desgnated area for smoking. At fuel-plug this (as you know) is the back carpark area of the club. After being deafened by the early nineties music, I needed some fresh air. Being outside I felt like a caged rat, the fences that are usually on biulding sites is an insult. I can understand that you want to stop people from getting in for free, but there must be other ways. Then the security guard who is mentioned later on in my post came out and was shouting at everyone 'everyone back inside, don't you know these doors are shut for a reason, I must have skipped a page as they were open last time i looked, hence me being outside. So then we were all rushed back in for the same thing to happen again 5 minutes later. After a few hours of pure hell we went to the Chippy and picked up some decent looking straight lads who we managed to convince to come back to the Lair. I’ve never been to the Lairs "afterparty" so was not sure what to expect. Although this being Sheffield it never disappoints the music was o.k. if you like that sort of thing, but I was drunk and had good company so couldn’t complain. That is until I went to the toilet and here is the point of my story. On waiting for the cubical (which a Gollum look-a-like) decided made a good phone box. I finally got in the cubical to do what I would imagine most people do a 1 or 2, (mine was a 1 by the way), on waiting to do my business several flashes of light hit the cubicle no I’d not been abducted by aliens I’m not that lucky. Someone thought they would stick a camera over the top (sad, true and dirty) then what could only have been seconds later I hear voices saying "whats he doin in there?" and "cant be legal"; So I opened the door to find a security guard (the youngish one who looks like the guy out of prison break) he then sarcastically said "you are looking very happy”, to which I replied “it’s a club” (I must have been desperate with comebacks because that was hardly a club) and the accusation of "I’ve been told you are doing coke in there" Why? Because I was smiling; they must have the sense that if you are smiling in there you have got to be on drugs god forbid you can’t actually be having a good time. I would have thought the more younger people you had in having a good time and smiling, could only be better for your image. What I find ironic is they didn’t pick on the people with poppers bottle stuck up their nose or even the person unconscious in the corner or even the ex fuel employee who always dances erratically, no they pick on the young good looking person that was smiling. I’m absolutely offended by this, the security guard completely showed me up in front of a lot of people in the toilet, he didn’t even take me to one side but backed down when he could see that I was all but dried out. To which I left with the straight lads(the terror in their eyes and the disgust in mine)and half the club population. I would like to KNOW what it was that made me look like I was drugged up, was it the fact that I was young or good looking? the fact that I was dressed up or the fact that I was smiling? For the record I have never even sniffed a popper, no matter taken any sort of drug. I'm really disappointed with this experience as in my last few posts I have been praising and sticking up for Fuel-Plug, it feels as though they are now falling back into the same pattern, 'lets make a quick buck from the Sheffield gay scene'. Play what we want, do what we want, its only Sheffield! RIP FUEL AND LION LAIR. I really hope this post isnt removed, I am not slagging off the place I am just giving my experience of the night I had and informing the people. The length of the post is my frustration of my experience.
  18. Im all in support of any GAY club coming to sheffield and wish them all the luck.I just hope they dont take the mick and try to make a quick buck.
  19. HELLO there just wanted to say I tried FUEL/PLUG on sat and thought it was brill. I'm not one for giving out praise (there normally isnt any reason to) but I must say I really enjoyed it. Alot more effort was put in and the drag queens talked, mingled were all round good entertainers and I thought the music was ace til around 1.30(POP POP POP then it went abit early 90s mad). The place was even busy it was a very pleasant surprise I really hope it lasts, even if its just for a while.I would advice if you have not been yet to do so b4 the honeymoon period ends. Just one query, the prices change day to day,Fri it was free sat it was £6 why? :D:D:D:D
  20. Another rumour about Fuel is that they have no intention of moving venues its just a publicity stunt and they are moving back within the month. Its just to drum up interest in the place again if this is true I think it is a very dirty trick and would just prove what I have felt for a long time just remember you heard it here 1st.
  21. What I said is the truth I described what he is and what he does.Im on the younger side of the gay scene. Do you think it is appropriate that some1 stands over you watching you and making you feel uncomfortable, just because you were younger. I see that other people have had problems with this individual. Times it 1000% that’s how I feel!
  22. I find it very sad that a post I put on has been removed, all because I was negative about Dempseys, or should we call it the truth. So from now on I shall say nice things about depseys and fuel. Because I love walking in Demseys everybody smiles there is no leering and it is a fantastic venue, I love the Sheffield gay scene we have never had it so good. London, Manchester and Leeds watch out, Sheffields right behind you!!
