  1. Hello. Can anyone recommend christmas markets coming up in Sheffield or South Yorkshire? I'd like to do one on the weekend of 3rd or 4th but struggling to find availability. Everything seems to be booked up! I sell African crafts, cards and calendars for a charity in Uganda. Any recommendations gladly welcomed. Kind regards http://www.deweartsandcrafts.weebly.com
  2. Hi there. Anyone out there fancy some 5aside football tonight? We're at Goals in Attercliffe at 8pm. It's just a friendly with friends but a couple of people have dropped out. Let me know!
  3. Hello Just wanted to introduce forum users to a place in town called Access Space which is a free centre for anyone interested in digital arts, games and computing and lots more. Chess: There's regular chess games on Saturday afternoons for people of all levels going on - but during the week you can usually drop in and find someone willing to play. There's also Go, one of the oldest strategy games in the world. Computers and art: There's lots of computers which are free to use and people are able to come in and have a go at doing something creative using the machines. This can be anything from practising digital photography and enhancing your images using computer software, making a website, making animation, blogging, or even music and film. Someone will be on hand to get you started and you can then develop at your own speed working with other people. There's currently a great exhibition of local artists inside which you are free to come down and take a look at. You can also learn just how to get into basic computing like using word processing or budgeting using workbooks and spreadsheets. IT: People can also learn how to get to understand how computers really work and people of all abilities can learn how to make computers from scratch and maintain and refurbish used machines. Basically, there's loads of stuff going on, its all free and its there every day from 11am - 7pm (except Sundays and Mondays). Come down and have a look or have a chat with someone to see how you'd like to be involved. We're always open to new ideas to, so if there's something you want to do, we'll do our best to make it happen. We also won an award recently from the Star for our recycling: It's in town, on Sidney Street, right near the Showroom and Site Gallery, opposite the Rutland Pub. Unit 1, AVEC Building, 3-7 Sidney Street, South Yorkshire S1 4RG 0114 249 5522 http://www.access-space.org Access Space is a charity arts organisation and I volunteer for them and also make films on their computers. If you want to ask me anything, please just post here. Many thanks for reading.
