Can anyone reommend a good DVD recorder? I'm buying it for my parents so want something that's easy to use and doesn't have to be packed with features. Ideally I'd like to get a Samsung as they have a Samsung TV but I've readsome bad reviews about them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just come back from a stag weekend where I've been absolutely ribbed by my mates for my undies (pants not boxers). Is it really that bad for guys to wear pants?! I do have boxers just find pants more comfy. For the record I'm 23 and they weren't like baggy y-fronts, they were H&M!

Thanks for the advice guys. It would probablymake life easier if there were loads of cameras along penistone rd then we'd all slow down. Oh and when I say suddenly I mean i saw it quickly pull out of the other lane or were you just trying to be smart?

This afternoon at 4.15 I was doing about 40 on Penistone Rd near Morrisons when suddenly a white Vauxhall van came behind. Being wary I slowed down and got into the other lane however I noticed then that the van had what seemed to be a camra on top. Could this have been a mobile speed camra? Before the holier than thou crowd pipe up I know I'm in the wrong I just think 30 on Penistone Rd is an utter joke.

I can assure you that I'm not selling the house. My girlfriend and I are looking to buy our first house. Neither of us are from Sheffield so we don't know the areas that well (we both met at Sheffield uni). We were just thinking of looking away from the area we know and love (S10, Crookes etc) because the houses are so sought after and expensive.

I must admit I dont know the area at all, but I stumbled across this lovely house (see link below) at a seemingly amazing price, whats the catch? Is it a dodgy area? Has anyone been for a meal here (particularly on a Sunday afternoon). Ive arranged to take my parents out for Sunday lunch next week and I was wandering where to go. Also are there any other nice places around the Crookes/ Broomhill/ Ranmoor area?

Im planning on going to Manchester over the Snake Pass this weekend. Do people think it will be safe to drive over (I won't be leaving until Saturday morning) or will it still be icy/snowy?
