  1. Are there any Musical Saw players in Sheffield? I can't play yet but I'm trying to teach myself.
  2. It was ok. Had a laugh but didn't meet anyone. The venue was a bit cramped and noisy. And it was slim pickings for the ladies if you ask me. Not a lot of good looking guys there. SharonX
  3. Hair by Christmas are great! I've been going there for years. They have a website if anyone wants more info. http://www.hairbychristmas.co.uk/
  4. I'll be leaving work soon and won't be online again. It's nearly 3pm now so I'm assuming no one has got a ticket and no one from the forum is going. So I won't be going to Varsity. Oh well! SharonX
  5. IMPORTANT!! Is there anyone who actually has a ticket and is definitely going? Please let me know as everyone who's said they were going has either dropped out or hasn't been able to get a ticket. There's no point in me turning up a Varsity at 7pm if noone is going to be there SharonX
  6. Yes I got my ticket at the weekend. And yes mushroombabe I'll let you know how it goes SharonX
  7. Sounds good to me! See you there around 7-7.15ish SharonX
  8. Varsity at 7ish sounds good to me! How will we all recognise each other? SharonX
  9. I've had two replies so far (thanks girls!). So far there are 4 people (including me) who want to go. There were a few others on here who posted they were interested. What about arranging a time and place to meet before the event? Any suggestions? SharonX
  10. I think getting a group togther is a great idea! Perhaps forum members could meet in a nearby bar beforehand for introductions and a dutch courage drink? Iguanas opposite Revolution has a great bar? The event is at Revolution Bar off West St. Thursday 23 November 2006 : 19:00 to 23:00 Tickets are: Online Price: £10.00 Phone Price: £12.00 - Call 08702 111 500 (Lines open 9am to 5.30pm Mon to Fri) Age range: 25 - 45 (average age 36) The event has a website. I can't post the complete url so I'll cheat. I've put a space after the www8. Delete the space and it should work. www8. chemistry.co.uk/Public/Events/EventDetails.aspx?intEventID=20297 Sharon
  11. Great! Any ladies interested then please get in touch and we'll have a chat. My email is [email protected] I would post the website up but I don't have enough posts so I'm not allowed. Thanks! Sharon
  12. Moving on if the key doesn't fit isn't the idea. If it doesn't fit I can still carry on chatting to whoever if I like them. The aim isn't to find the right lock (though if you do you get entered into the raffle). The locks and keys are just an icebreaker. And a great excuse to extricate yourself from unwanted attention from a boring/ugly bloke "Excuse me I need to mingle and try a few more keys". I've been to an ordinary speed dating event. It was ok but I thought this sounded a more relaxed way of meeting people. Sharon
  13. Nope my friends are either married, as good as married or getting married. So nyer
  14. After getting sick of me moaning about the lack of men in my life, my friends are urging me to try one of those speed dating events but alas I have no single friends to go with. And no way am I going on my own! There's something called a "lock and key" event at Revolution in a couple of weeks. Sounds a bit more relaxed than speed dating. Apparently on arrival the women are given a lock and the men a key which you then wear around your neck. The idea is while trying locks and keys, you get chatting to guys who take your fancy. Any single girls in the same boat fancy giving it a try? I know this is a bit odd, asking total strangers if they want to go on a night out with me! We would of course email each other first and possibly meet beforehand. Anyone interested, let me know. Perhaps we can get a small group together?
  15. I go to Hair By Christmas in Broomhill. They are excellent! Very good colourists. They have a reputation for more "alternative" hairstyles and colours but they're also very good at more traditional stuff too. Lovely people. Very friendly and relaxed place. Reasonable prices too You can find their website on Google btw. Sharon
