Thanks for the replies! I've previously owned two 125cc motorcycles in the past which I did the odd bits and pieces on. I didn't do many miles or own them for very long so I only needed to do oil changes and spark plugs etc every so often as per the manuals. I feel as though I want to take this bike to someone who knows what they're doing as I frequently travel home on the GS from Uni which is 100 mile round trip. If £160 is about the going price then I'll probabaly take it to Manhattan's!

Hi all I've just recently bought a 1992 GS500E, it has about 50,000km on the clocks and I'm looking for a good place to get it serviced. I've contacted Manhattan Motorcycles who are the closest distance to me and they've said it's going to cost arround £160, I've never had a motorcycle serviced before so I'm not too sure what prices generally are. Is this about the going rate for a service? Can anybody reccomend any other decent garages? Thanks in advance!
