  1. Thanks Choki, great to see all the hard work we and our staff have put in to this business being appreciated. Its not just a cafe/ bistro, its a community that some people will never support. ??
  2. Hold on a bit, underhanded, we've had planning permission for 6 years so it would have been nice to be consulted by the carnival committee who knew full well we were due to open. We contacted them several times and we were never contacted back to see what our intentions were. Weve had enough support foe this business to last a life time but we'll always experience negativity from a few small minded people but as you say, this is business!!!! ---------- Post added 17-11-2016 at 12:18 ---------- The business is being run to high standard as you can see from the feedback on our facebook page so using our comments towards negativity as evidence of how the business is run is pathetic and irresponsible in my view. People using our business for whatever reason provide enough evidence to support the way we deliver. Not sure if you've used our café but Id suggest calling in and see how much hard work has been put in to offer a much needed service to the community. Have a nice day.
  3. Totally agree, if I could say what I really feel on here without getting banned I would do. Working on Hillsborough Park and another location but we don't have a timeline as yet. Itll be well publicised. ---------- Post added 15-11-2016 at 15:14 ---------- ha ha ha ha and whats that prove??? ha ha ha It explains exactly what Ive been saying, 'when we see fit', 'on our terrace', 'live local bands, artist'............supporting a local business like Bradfield brewery. Something you should do. Is it time for bed, you seem a little
  4. Let me put a few facts on the table and address some of the miss-informed assumptions you kindly throw about. Our premise license application is to sell alcohol at PRIVATE events if required during 12-23.00 such as our Popup Bistro nights, this means we will not act like a pub and sell alcohol all day, every night. You obviously don't know us but let me re-assure you and as year clearly mention in your previous post, theres not enough room to swing a cat, we will be able to manage and monitor any underage drinking or substance abuse better than any other establishment because of the size, environment and clientele we service. So it wont be a haven for druggies and underage drinking, you have such low understanding of your community. Alcohol can be purchased anywhere and drank within the park, as of today we've not seen any epidemic of this behaviour. You need to get out more. Live music I different to amplified music. Our application is for music to be confined to the building and terrace and not the open space. If any event was to be had outside the premises, WE WOULD APPLY FOR A TENs like any other person or business on an as and when basis. Your objection to our license application seems more about us being in direct competition to Lomas Hall. Which has applied to offer the same thing and is in position to affect directly, households within meters. Don't hide behind accusations and misinformation come out and say your part of the committee/ group that are trying to turn Lomas Hall into a private commercial business starting with the sale of alcohol. Our café has become a community and helped so many local elderly lonely people, provided a meeting place for young parents, become a drop in point for the local constabulary and much more so instead knocking our intentions, get of your arse and get out more and see what benefits we offer and for whom. Like I said earlier, were holding a public meeting to listen to their concerns and hopefully settle any fears or concerns. Something Lomas Hall should have done. ---------- Post added 15-11-2016 at 14:57 ---------- Chelle-82, many thanks for your support. Coffee and lunch on the house. People like MossDog who have another motive don't have the capability to reason. :loopy:
  5. Selling alcohol has many downsides that's why we keep away from it and offer a BYO, which we will continue to do so. However, knowing it ruffles your feathers by us applying for a license to cover any eventuality I'll push that more for a full license and compete against the likes of lomas hall which is a community hall and NOT a PUB. Call in for for a coffee and a chat. I'm also going to offer a Public Meeting to all who have concerns about Reserved CB's application and the planned change of use for Lomas Hall. Ill keep you posted. Roll summer and the carnival. lol lol
  6. Things have now become very clear. If Lomas Hall has been allowed to sell alcohol for all these years, why the need to apply for a full premise license? Your objection isn't about noise, its about the possibility of losing trade at Lomas Hall. Applying for a premise license isn't the only option available to us if we wish to sell alcohol at any outdoor event with live music. This is a TENs process that will allow us to deliver this service. My intentions have changed, we will apply for a full premise license in the same way as Lomas Hall and offer the sale of alcohol as and when we see fit. Hopefully at the annual carnival which will go down a storm. Live local bands, artist on our terrace selling local Bradfield Ale. Summers looking great.
  7. Any outside events will be applied for through the TENs process on an as and when basis. ---------- Post added 14-11-2016 at 14:26 ---------- Just out of interest whats your view on lomas hall applying for a full premise license which will allow them to sell alcohol between the hours of 12pm -11pm
  8. That is to cover any eventuality of PRIVATE HIRE. This wouldn't be a regular thing but covers us anyway. Anymore questions?????
  9. Just to inform uninformed MOSSDOG that our premise license application was to cover all future events at our business premises, this includes our popup bistro nights and other private events like birthdays/ christenings/ weddings etc. Hoewever, we've been informed we dont need one if we operate within our contractored hours up to 11pm as we are legally within our rights to have indoor accoustic or recorded music. Our alcohol policy is bring your own so alcohol will not be sold in the premises. If we d require the sale of alcohol or require late openings we wpuld follow the roght policy and apply for TENs notice to cover this event. We are a cafe first and anything outside is secondary so to say this was a plan to.open another is totally Ill-judged and incorrect. So before posting misinformed information call in and see us. ---------- Post added 13-11-2016 at 14:35 ---------- Ps. Ill be re-submitting our premise license on the 1st December so you have plenty of time to gather as much information to support your objections against the license.
  10. Thanks Chocki. Stannington Park is a great park in the middle of a stannington Village. Footfall and use of the park has increased dramatically and will do so every year as we have some great things planned. ReservedCB has been fully self funded by us and choosing stannington park first was an easy decision as we live local. Dont worry, Hillsborough and 2 other parks are currently in tbe pipeline to open ReservedCB 2, 3 and 4.
  11. Reserved CB is now fully open and operating successfully. Have you guys been in? Thoughts?
