+1 for Walkley & Lower Walkley down to Langsett Road
Very quiet, next to the tram, buses through, 1-2 miles from city centre, nice and quiet pubs (Blake is one of the best in the city?), good primary school, still affordable prices, mainly families and elders around (last few years young professionals choose this area), big tesco and other supermarkets close and Hillsborough is next to you if you want more.

There are times when I don't need a ticket. When I'm on holiday, for instance, I'll renew my ticket to begin after I get back.
Do you buy your tickets at least 48 hours before you need them?
-
Same chap was in Walkley 1 month ago with the same excuse.
He started from £450 (£600 RPR according to his label on the mattress) and he ended up down to £70 ''just for me''.
Needless to say that the mattress looked like a piece of foam.
At the end, I said I will buy this foam off you for £20 for the dog so he left

I bought a car part for someone, it is wrong so need to return it. What's the cheapest way to send a 4kg parcel to Manchester? I would like it signed for as I don't trust the company I am returning it to.
Thanks
I used this website many times before and they are good (depends which courier you go with): http://www.p4d.co.uk/

Why pay someone to take them to the tip, when they know if they dump them on the street, the dodgy scrapmen will take them...
If they have a way (car) to carry it away from their homes to throw it somewhere else, I am sure they will not bother travelling a bit more to a tip.
If that's not the case, is the guy who lives on that road
-
I think your third one is about right, people don't want to pay for them to be collected
I thought you don't pay when you take them to the tip....???
-
Thanks ill try rivelin, not many companies seem to do 24 seaters
Try Central Travel. I used them before for a similar trip and their price was very reasonable.

the switches flick up and down, its about 3 years old if that helps
ricgem2002 is on about your fuseboard switches. Is your fuseboard the old fuse type or is it the circuit breaker type?

We're in a worse situation??
In what way??

I think people will be surprised from the result.
It may look bad but is not that bad as it looks.
Keep in mind that most of the big countries, including States and Britain are in worse situation.

Have you accidentally thrown your link in the wheelie bin, or has my computer broken?

Isn't Chatham Street the one at the Pitsmoor end of Corporation Street? I thought that was one way up hill.
If there is an uphill, definitely there is a downhill too

The big Tescos in town has one the one just off the wicker.
~10% commission at that one
-
Most big supermarkets have them but as already been stated, they will charge you ~10% of total value.
If you have a bank account with Natwest they have a machine in their fargate shop and you throw all them coins in a container and it doesthe trick for you.
Otherwise, go to the bank you have an account with and ask for coin plastic bags. You will have to seperate them into them bags and take gem back to bank for cash.

You can try Tesco's in West Street or Boots in Fargate

You do not say how high wall will be .If it will be a re-taining wall etc. A decent merchant like T.P..should be able to advise you but have a word with your bricklayer before you buy them . Trouble is bricks are now very expensive to buy and decent bricklayers hard to find so be care-full. Good luck sure you will sort it .
I am on about 3' wall. I will take down the wooden fence around garden and house I have now and I will replace it with a brick wall
-
rickk
I would not do that. These bricks are no good for garden walls . The face shells of . / Ex bricklayer .
Oops, what do you suggest for a garden/fence brickwall that will match them Red Rusty bricks and it will be strong enough?
I am not considering any wooden or metallic fence types at the moment
-
I think I may have seen some in Pagets at Hillsborough last week. Give them a ring and ask for Tony.
I just been down there an it looks they are Carlton Red Rustic but they cannot get them on the dimensions I've got them. It doesn't really matter because I only need them for a brickwall in the garden.
Thank you very much

Can somebody help me identify what bricks I have and where I can get some please?
Dimensions are: 285mm Length & 87mm Height

A little while ago Sheffield council were considering putting cctv in all taxis and phvs. The Sheffield taxi drivers were vehemently against this as they said it was an invasion of their and their passengers privacy. I'm inclined to believe it might be for other reasons such as having a record of every fare they take and may pick up on illegal activities and bad driving. As professional drivers carrying members of the public they have a duty to drive safely and legally. Buses and trams have cctv fitted so why not taxis?
I am not a Taxi driver and I have nothing to do with them. I only use taxis 3-4 times per year
I strongly believe cameras need to go on every single vehicle no matter who you are and I don't see why Taxis are different to it. No difference between everybody else and a taxi driver from my point of view.
I thought driving safely and legally was every driver duty.
In terms of illegal activities and bad driving, is not something between taxi drivers and rest of us and I cannot see how the on board camera will help the police or whoever want to fine them as they are not obliged to give you what their camera records (at least at the moment). In fact, if you see any illegal activities and bad driving you can use their registration number if you want to report an incident.
Now coming back to what they actually doing with their customers, is something that we need to be concerned to make sure that we are aware of the fares or we can even ask them on how much will it cost for a trip so that you decide whether you are happy or not. In fact their fare prices are on their websites so that people can have a look. You can even ask them when you are ordering a taxi.
This is my personal opinion so don't take it personally

There you go £6:

I understand what he did is not correct but to be honest why to take that any further? There is a high chance that he did not realised that his car touched your car especially when we are actually talking about paint scratch. And if that's the case is difficult to prove it.
If you are not looking to get something out of it, there is no reason of taking it any further.
I have seen people losing their NCB even if it wasn't their fault so it may find its way back to you
My personal opinion is to just let it go if you are not looking for any repairs from your side.
