A few weeks ago I was visiting Centretainment for approximatly 30 minutes. I am a disabled driver and parked in a disabled bay. I thought I had correctly position my disable badge on the dashboard, but unbeknow to me it had fallen into the footwell , that particular night the wind was severe and signs where on the motorway advising motorist of strong winds.
The following morning I was on my drive and I noticed a "Parking Charge Notice" that was so badly sodden with the nights rain it was unreadable, although I could just make out the issue number. I phoned the telephone number on the notice to see where I had received the notice and was advised it was in Centretainment for not displaying a disabled badge.
That day I appealed in writing with photocopies of my Blue badge as I had been fined £100 or £60 if paid within 14 days.
I have just received a reply to my appeal saying that I still have to pay the fines as the badge was not displayed and not an exceptable reason for the fine to waved.
Please can anyone suggest whom I should contact , Is Centretainment private land? An suggest would be appreciated.
Thank you Syorks
