believe me ! it would be a lot easier to walk into a club with just a laptop and play ,, but we try and give the old skool soulies - vinyl... and like i say 99% of the soul crowd like it to be !! .. and your wrong mate !! we dj's do play our vinyl at home , i don't know any of us that don't ,, i have a music room & you will mostly find me in there spinning vinyl ! ,, but like you say ! if i'm in the garden , i will play a cd ! look !! 99% of soul music lovers ,love to here the old vinyl in club's... pub's are so different ,, you have a built in crowd that like any kind of music ,, so laptop is good for a pub , you can play an abba tune at the click !!! with the club's i'm asking soul lovers to come and attend a proper Northern soul night ! as it used to be in the 70s , just google soul-source , look at events & all but a fake few are 100% vinyl !!!
