  1. Hey guys and girls, did anyone happen to record the digital broadcast of Freebie and the Bean on ITV last night, or have a copy already available please? It's almost impossible to get hold of, I missed it, and would sooner pay a local for a widescreen copy burned to DVD, than some stranger in the states for the same thing. Let me know if you can help, and maybe I can provide you with a similarly valuable bootleg, or just a few quid for your trouble. Thanks in advance, Chris.
  2. Anyone know what happened to my digital TV? It told me on screen that I could be watching additional channels, so when I retuned it, there were suddenly none whatsoever. Not good. One moment it was fine, then dead. A friend thinks there's some kind of upgrade or change recently, that can be adjusted to if you've a built in decoder like mine, and up-to-date set top boxes are already capable of adjusting automatically. Anyone been through the same thing, or know what you do to fix it. Assuming it isn't genuinely knackered of course? Thanks, Chris.
  3. no good I'm afraid, there's not much mention online re: AS344, and there's security on the work PC stopping me from seeing some pages. Anyone got the slightest idea if this machine has a hack?
  4. Help! Can someone please get me a region hack to make my acoustic solutions AS344 multi region? Hope someone knows how it's done. Thanks.
  5. Hi, I'm Chris, local lad, doing a massive run for cancer research and hoping people will give what they can. Thanks. http://www.justgiving.com/houghboy
  6. applied, ticked small on entry sheet. went to sign that said "small", asking for a "small please". cycled back home to look through my goody bag, and I've been given an XXLarge for my trouble. back into town to try and swap, and I'm told small have run out. So I take a large instead, but want the shirt I deserve. anyone need to swap a small for my large, having maybe gone through the same thing in reverse? please let me know.
  7. I have issues 33 to 185, but don't have whichever was travolta on the front cause they messed up my subscription. ta.
  8. Anybody got an idea where I'd perhaps be able to sell Empire back issues? I've hundreds and could dump the entire collection if I knew who wanted them. I'm only after £1 each, or a lump sum for the lot (152 copies).
  9. 2wentypence you win hands down! made me laugh, while the sour puss wishing me luck needs to chill. I did 9 months for ANT and made manager, but walked since it soaked up my will to live, just try telling people at parties/pubs that you're a telesales executive(just for fun try it), and time how long they rant at you, right in your face about what scum you are, and that's after people telling you to F off all day!! soul destroying. ...and it's the botanical garden where you think you saw ANY marketing. dime bar
  10. There's a place in broomhill, corner near northern soul, that does t-shirts. I got one done, but it went to pieces first time it went in the wash, cause they use transfers, and I'm not sure they did a great job. that said, they can put just about owt on a shirt. London rd has a place too, and from what I remember they're cheaper, doing mugs/posters etc as well as shirts. The screen printing would be a lot more reliable long term, but neither will be bargain prices, it costs a fortune for one t-shirt(bout £10).
  11. Hi, does anyone know what price you can expect to pay for storage in sheffield? sites only promise to match the best around, but don't offer any quotes. I've no idea what they cost per week/month etc. Ever used sheffield storge facilities? let me know if you have and I can pick your brain, ta.
  12. Hi, does anyone know of a place in sheffield, preferably near the centre, or toward broomhill area, that takes folk on immediately, and appreciates that maybe they aren't looking to be around indefinately? All too often businesses seem to expect someone to sign in blood and pledge their intention to stay on board for life. I'm a very (VERY) work-to-live type of bloke, who's never been out of work, but gets frustrated and depressed every so often when the novelty value of a position wears off, or indeed, I do so good a job they try and promote me, and my reluctance offends. I just wish to fill some sort of gap for one or two years, and who knows, perhaps stay on if it turns out to be engaging enough for the right kind of money(say, £7 p/h). Have you yourself found easy access to a good money spinner with laid back attitude to staff turnover, or are you hiring and want skilled people with varied experience, to start right away?? Please, if you run a kleeneze type of crapola, ignore the temptation, I've no time for the pat on the back brigade. the rest of you, get in touch if you've some good advice.
  13. Hi all, I would really appreciate any lists of venus, in and around Sheffield that offer free or dicounted entry to carers with identification. Thanks in advance. Chris.
