  1. just checked that out and sent them an email asking for some info, thanks man.
  2. To work? going to uni no work for me! No seriously, thanks for the advice I just read some old threads (probably should have searched before posting) about those types of gyms in and around sheffield. I wanted one pretty close to SHU so I could walk, but I could easily tram somewhere not too far away from the city campus. thanks again.
  3. Hope i'm not coming across as some meathead lol, I'm by no means that. I just don't want to be paying for a gym that completely based around machines/other stuff I don't need like cardio equipment and saunas, PT classes etc. I know its very specific but I'm just looking for a reasonably priced gym with a lot of free weights that go up heavy, few machines like lat pulldown/tbar/leg press etc, and if possible a rack or two and dip station. Going to stop spamming this thread up now haha.
  4. thanks for the reply, but I'm not bothered about the sauna/classes/swimming or using 4 venues tbh. I checked their website out and couldn't find a list of equipment at all, just a tonne of information on PT... Like I said though just interested in a well equipped gym with heavy dumbbells, olympic bars, racks, pullups, dips station etc.
  5. Hi, I currently live in the Nottingham/Derby area but will hopefully be moving up to Sheffield when I start uni in september at Hallam. I've been lifting seriously for a few years now and I'm looking for a reasonably priced gym that is well equipped and quite close to the uni. I'm not bothered about spa's/pools/classes etc. I just want a decent gym that has olympic barbells, a free weight area, dumbbells up to 100lb+ and if possible...dare I ask...a squat rack or two lol. Basically not necessarily a hardcore gym, but I don't want to be going to no planet fitness equivalent (no offense to anybody). Anyone got any suggestions? I have looked at the uni gym itself and it looks like a bunch of cardio equipment and some smith machines, not what I'm looking for. Thanks in advance
