  1. Just thought I should let people know iv been a regular shopper at this aldi store for a while now but have been overcharged 3 times now on steak. When the item is "30% reduced" they still charge full price. The first 2 times I didn't notice until I got home and couldn't do anything about it. This time I checked my receipt in the store and when I complained I was totaly shocked by there responce didn't even get an apology instead the manager and till worker apologised to the que as though I was the problem. And when I told the manager it happend twice before i was told "you should have checked your receipt in store it's not our problem"

Probably the worst customer service ever in a supermarket!!

Iv always been a fan of aldi and lidl but will think twice about aldi chapeltown again.

Anyway BEAWARE check your receipt in aldi!!!!

  2. My friend is looking to start trading in cars and looking for advice.

Just looking to start small and go on from there.

Do you need a licence to trade cars now? Where's the best place to get traders insurance? And what about car tax, is a trader allowed to drive a car without mot and tax?

Also what are the legal implications nowadays when you sell a car? do you have to offer a warranty?

When a trader buys a car does he keep the log book so he can sell the car straight away??

Any advice from people with experience appreciated please.

  3. Took my jaguar x type to a diesel specialist as car was cutting off on motorway and engine management light was saying a fuel pump code P0251.

The diesel specialist diagnosed it as fuel injectors and replaced all 4 and the fuel filter for. £625 including vat. Anyway just found out it's the fuel pump so basically I believe my car was missdiagnosed. I'm going to see garage tommorow and was looking for advice as to how to play it? Should they be paying for repair or is it not there fault? Garage told me it was injectors and never made me aware that it might not be?

all 4 injectors as well surely all 4 weren't gone as car was driving spot on prior to it cutting out? as you can see I'm not an expert and I'm looking for advice? if repair might not work surely I should have been made aware of this? so angry Carnt afford to folk out any more money

    Thanks in advance

  4. Need help and advice please regarding my x type 2 litre diesel. My car has been leaking diesel from a copper nut below the fuel rail probably for around a week before I noticed. Anyway I got it repaired yesturday but when I picked it up I started the engine and noticed it didn't sound right at all it was Realy noisy not very smooth and the revs counter was flickering slightly, there was only 80 miles range in the tank so I went to fill up and go for a run and the noise seemed to fade slightly and run more smoothly ,maybe there was air trapped.

Anyway I took it on the motorway and as soon as I got to 70mph and revs were about 3000 I lost power and the glow plug light come on and then engine management, I pulled onto hard shoulder turned engine off and started back up it seemed to be running ok but with engine management light back on.

I took it back to same mechanic to check code fault and he said I might need a new fuel pump but that we should change fuel filter first.

I don't no what to do or think the car although leaking diesel before was fine when I took it to him, and I'm not sure if I trust him as when I pointed out the noise at garage when I picked it up first he tried to fob me off n say it was my flywheel? Also will his diagnostic kit reliable is it deff a fuel pump or maybe some other fault with fuel system? I don't want to spend £500 on a fuel pump n be left with the same problem.

Any advice appreciated but please no time wasters

  5. Tyson Furys too big strong and powerfull for Haye, he would have knocked him out.

What people dont realise is in the past Fury has only ever struggled in fights when hes not focused or takeing it serious. Against Haye he would be fully focused and work behind the jab.

Also if Haye lost to Fury it would be the end of his career so i just think its just to bigger risk for Haye.

  6. Regardless of cost he says....... werent you the one concerned about how much this is all going to cost etc? youre arguments floored mate you say one thing and mean another:confused:

I definitely don't want a fight. If you knew who I was then I think you would think that this was quite a funny suggestion!

I can genuinely see the reasons behind the argument that if people ignore the EDL, they will go away, and I have wondered about this. I do think antifascists need to be careful with when and how they oppose the EDL, so as to not provoke them further, or make them think that they have an 'enemy' that it is fun to fight.

Still, I don't think it's ok for the EDL to march unopposed through Sheffield, so regardless of the cost, they need to be challenged by people who show that the majority of people do not agree with their views.

  7. Youre the same person trying to organise a mob to turn up at firth park to caurse trouble, see his other article about counter demo, clearly your out for trouble.

The other 'mob' represents pretty much everyone else in Britain with a general sense of religious tolerance and openness, so, they probably are quite open to talking.

    ---------- Post added 18-09-2013 at 10:31 ----------

The counter-protest is against the EDL and its views, so it wouldn't need to happen if the EDL wasn't protesting. I think I can speak for a lot of people who will be counter-protesting in saying that we have better things to do with our Saturday afternoons that we would much rather be doing.

If the protest isn't specifically about the Pheasant, then it would cause much more less community tension and be a much better way of spreading information if the EDL were to have peaceful stalls in Fargate.

  8. Ha ha ha he says he wants to save money and hes organising a counter demonstation himself:confused::confused:

Looks like we have found the real trouble causer:rant::rant::rant:

Hi all. Some of you might have heard about the EDL's plans to protest on Saturday 21st against a rumoured plan to turn the Pheasant pub on Barnsley Road into a mosque. This story was proved not to be true, but they intend to march anyway.

As you'll have read on the Star link on the other SF thread, the EDL demo is going to cost Sheffield police a lot of money that would be better spent elsewhere in difficult times; much more importantly, it's also a threat to the local community, because the EDL is a racist organisation whose members have a history of criminal convictions for violent behaviour, including a lot of racially-aggravated crimes.

Having two big EDL demonstrations in a year in our city paints a picture of Sheffield nationally that is just false. Most of the EDL demonstrators will be coming from elsewhere in the country, looking to cause trouble rather than to make legitimate political points. They're not against Islamic extremism; they spread hatred against all Muslims, and minorities in general.

So - I thought people here might be interested in details about a counter-demonstration on the day. This is more of an announcement, but I can try to help with any questions. We will be meeting on Saturday at 1 outside the First Start Building in Firth Park, bring banners and loud voices.

    Facebook event with further info

Twitter account to follow for updates on the day.

It's really important that we demonstrate together to show that the EDL and their divisive, violent beliefs aren't welcome in Sheffield, so I hope people from the forums will come to the counter-demo.

  9. I have never read such an article that is made up of lies and deceipt shame on you Claire Lewis (the writer) and south yorkshire police.

1 - we live in a democracy where we all are allowed to protest rightly or wrongly. Who are they to suggest we ban the protest? For the costs - shal we then ban football? nightclubs? state funerals?

2 - the article is designed to blame the EDL for the costs which state £800k, when actually its the police who will be milking the overtime and are looking for an excuse, and it clearly stats it "could cost up to £600k" when in truth it will be alot less!

3 - protests always cost money £800k is not alot compared to the £2 million plus reported outside sheffield town hall for the liberal democrats. How much does it cost to police sheffield city centre at night? football derbys? should we ban football then aswell?

    4. The articltle is made for the Protest to look stupid saying the idea of a mosque has been dropped so why are they still protesting? This is not true from what i have herd they are just trying to raise funds first for the mosque.

Claire Lewis should be sacked instantly for this deceiptfull article and i will never buy the Sheffield Star again. When writing an article surely the job of the writer is to stay neutral and give arguments for an against.

Just for the record i am neither for or against this protest but discusted that The Sheffield Star are tying to pull the wool over peoples eyes!!:rant:

I've just seen this in The Star:

    http://www.thestar.co.uk/news/local/800-000-to-police-latest-edl-demo-in-sheffield-1-6059208

    This is absolutely crazy!!

I could understand the massive police presence for the marches in town where there will be a lot of people shopping, but £800,000 for Sheffield Lane Top where I'm guessing the numbers turning up will be minimal....It's crazy!!!

Is this a case of the police trying to milk the situation with all that lovely overtime?

I'm all for democracy and people's right to protest, but this is getting out of hand.

    Regards

    Doom
