  1. My bad, I assumed they were no longer together with how she was speaking
  2. I think newmummy should give up posting on here as a bad job as it's now gone into an attack and away from the original question. I understand what you are asking but I don't think you've put it very clearly for people to understand exactly what you mean and when they are questioning you, you are then getting defensive (which is understandable) and personal (not so understandable). If your ex partner lives with you and in turn doesn't have to pay any rent because it's your uncle but you do have to pay for house maintenance etc then he should give you half of the maintenance cost and half of the amount it takes to look after your child, including organic food as that is your choice and you want to feed her that because you believe it is the best (there's nothing wrong with wanting to give your child the best, eveybodys opinions differs on this of course but its want you and your partner want for her that counts). So add up how much everything cost per month and it is only fair that he contributes to half of this. For your other question, men here don't support their partners if they have jobs. They normally split bills equally or do it on a percentage of their wage. Men do treat their partners though, eg taking them out for a meal and they will pay, but woman also do this for their men too. Each relationship is different though but I've been brought up to always share things equally, hope this helps
  3. Yeah I've heard of it and got the DVDs, it's supposed to be good but I haven't got round to it yet. I will have to try my zumba dvd out in between my hypoxi and gym. Oh and yes that can be a bad thing, I know quite a lot of people that get addicted to the gym and feel guilty if they miss a day, I used to be like, a healthy balance is good. If she's looking good though then I'm not surprised she's addicted lol
  4. I have had 5 sessions so far and my cellulite has reduced loads. You get 12 sessions all together and they measure you after 6 sessions to see how you're doing. I will be measured on my next session so I don't know if I've lost any weight yet. You are supposed to eat healthy though throughout it and not eat carbs after in the evening. You are not allowed to exercise after a session though but you can exercise before. I wanted to try it because over the past 2 years I've gone from a size 8 to a size 10 and with that I've now got cellulite, which I never used to have. I'm really pleased with the results of my cellulite reduction and think after all my sessions it will nearly be gone. My skin feels firmer too on my bum and legs. Hope this has helped you make up your mind
  5. Just thought I would mention hypoxi treatment to you all, it's expensive but you lose inches within 12 sessions and it reduces/gets rid of cellulite. I've currently had 5 sessions and my cellulite has reduced lots. They measure you at the beginning, then after 6 sessions then again after your last 12th sessions. I don't know if I've lost any inches yet but I am pleased with just the results from the cellulite reduction, and my skin feels a lot firmer. They do advise you not to eat any carbs in the evening though, as this will effect your weight loss
  6. Thanks guys, you give some really good advice. How much water would you change daily, 25%? I will do as you've said and stop using the treatment when the course runs out. I will also just feed them once every 2 days like you've suggested until the tank is cycled. The NO2 was 1mg. Hopefully this will go down to 0 with daily water changes. My tank is 23L so my tank is way to small for the loach. I told the aquarium before I got him how big my tank was and they never said I couldn't have him, suppose they just wanted a sale. It's annoying though because they should be giving you good correct advice so you don't harm the fish in anyway without knowing about it. Thanks again guys and I will let you know how I get on in a couple of days PS the dwarf loach is cute, I think I saw one of those when I went last and asked him if I could get that and a fighting fish (when my tank if ready for more fish) but he said most loaches tend to nibble at fighting fish fins I'm obviously not going to get anymore fish until my problem is sorted
  7. Hi Hanksy I'm sorry to hear about your fish but I'm glad they are doing well now. Somebody at my work got her fish from fish inc and she said its really good. He told her to leave her tank two weeks before putting fish in. She didn't know that you have to do water checks and water changes though, so it's a good job I've told her. I will let you know how my fish get on
  8. Hiya When I got my tank they gave me two solutions, one was called cycle and another one. I had to use one of these for a day and the other one for three days. After just over a week the aquarium guy pointed out which fish I could have to start my tank off and I chose neons. I got the clown loach from a different shop, which was already ill. I admit I've never seen a clown loach before so didn't know it was ill but I thought the speckles on it was strange but thought it must just be the colouring of them. The course for the velvet and white spot treatment I got ends tomorrow and it says you can repeat it if need be, It tells you to do a 50% water change and also use esha 2000 with the esha exit as its highly effective. I know what you mean about pet shops not knowing anything about fish but you would expect an aquarium to know. The guy was very helpful and answered my questions when asked but I had to ask all the questions, he never just told me what to do when setting up a new tank etc. and by the sounds of it didn't give me the correct info needed. My boyfriend tested the water for me while I was at work and he said that they are all within what they should be. He said the NO2 is higher than last time but still within what it says. I am going to do a participial water change on Saturday (once treatment has finished) and keep testing the water to make sure its ok. Thanks for your help and I will take a look at that site.
  9. Yeah I set up the tank and left it for just over a week before adding the fish, this is the advice I got from two different aqaurium places. I tested the water before I put the fish in and then a week later and the results were as they should be. I've been advised to do weekly tests for anohter month or so to make sure the water is still alright. After reading on the net though I think I should have left the tank for 2 weeks or longer for the reasons you have said. The good news is all my other fish seem fine, they have no white spots or markings on them, which is great. Oh and I'll do another water test tonight and let you know the results. Thanks again
  10. Hi there Thanks again for all your advice. The guy in the aquarium shop said it sounds like it had velvet so he's given me a solution that kills velvet and all spot diseases. I'm using this over the next three days as advised so hopefully all the other fish will be fine. He said clown loach's are ver prone to white spot and velvet disease so I'm not going to get another one of these. I did ask the guy lots of questions before I purchased the fish and also asked him how long I had to have my tank set up for and he said 1 week. I also asked another aquarium place and they also said 1 week. Since googling this though I think it should have been more like 2-4 weeks, however I did test my water before putting the fish in and all was fine. Thanks again all for your comments
  11. Thanks for your answers guys. I don't want it spreading and the other fish to die so I will see what the guy recommends when I go tomorrow. I thought I'd got the tank sussed when all the readings were right yesterday, I was so sad when I saw the 2 dead today. Well fingers crossed I can get some treatment tomorrow and all the other fish will be fine
  12. I was looking for the pet section but couldn't see it
  13. Hi I'm just wondering if anybody has experienced this and knows what the cause is? I have several tropical fish and my tank has been set up for over two weeks now and I have had the fish for just over a week. Today I've seen two of my fish dead. One is a neon and the other is a clown loach. The loach used to hide a lot but I saw him the other day and he seemed fine. However when I bought him I noticed he had little speckles on him and thought at the time that wasn't normal. I had three neons all together and one of them went really bloated the other day but then yesterday they were all the same size again. I can't be sure if it was the one that was bloated that has died or not. I tested my water yesterday and everything is as it should be. I am going to the aquarium tomorrow where I got the fish from to ask them what may have caused them to die but just wondered if anybody on here might know why they have died? Thanks
