hounsfieldjr
What about some Stilton cheese from Hartington in Derbyshire? I think they do mail order (some of the Bakewell pudding shops in Bakewell do as well). Isn't there a sandwich spread factory on Western Road in Crookes? You could send some real genuine potted dog. jimmy
I've got to post it at the latest tomorrow so I'm hoping Waitrose/Beanies will be enough places to get everything. I also have a postcard of Sheffield and a book about Yorkshire!
jasmine500
If you go to the Original Bakewell Pudding shop (they prob have a website) you can send a pudding via the mail to anywhere in the world. And they are puddings - the tart is what Kipling ripped off from them! I did this kind of thing with a friend from Yorkshire who emigrated to Dallas. I included Yorkshire tea, Pontefract cakes, Yorkshire mix, Bigga mushy peas, Yorkshire pudding mix and gravy, a "how to speak Yorkshire" book from Waterstones, a book of traditional Yorkshire tea recipes, need I go on???? penny_crayon
It's probably too late now, and/or slightly out of season, but Parkin is a very Yorkshire thing isn't it?
duckweed
Oatcakes can be found on Sheaf market or Greengrocers bottom of Meersbrook Park. Dixons sweets locally made and not by big conglomerate. Love hearts are made in Derbyshire.
downtroad
Send them a menu of delicacies from Greggs I would pay good money if somebody would send me some uncooked Gregs pasties. Does anybody have access to them prior to getting cooked?
