An inspirational talk by KAREN DARKE on THURSDAY18TH APRIL at High Storrs School at 7.30pm (Bar and refreshments available)

 

After being paralysed at the age of 21 in a climbing accident, Karen Darke has become an intrepid adventurer, writer and an inspirational speaker.

 

A 2012 Paralympic silver medalist and member of British Cycling GB squad. Karen has an adventurous spirit. Amongst other achievements, she has hand cycled the length of Japan, sea cayaked a 1200 mile length of the Canada-Alaska coastline, skied across Greenland, climbed El Capitan and been crowned the 2012 World Para-Triathlon Champion. In 2013 she hopes to ski to the South Pole.
